Updates from Owning the Dash: February 2026
Empowering Classrooms — One Story at a Time 📚💵
We’re excited to share that Owning the Dash had the opportunity to support two impactful educator events last week — each centered on giving children the tools they need to build strong financial futures.
🧑🏫 In Charlotte, NC, we attended the NCCEE Professional Development Conference, where elementary educators explored several of our children's books and participated in hands-on activities from our official lesson plans — including Lilly and May Learn Why Mom and Dad Work. The energy in the room was incredible!
🧊 Meanwhile in Mississippi, we joined the Mississippi Council on Economic Education’s virtual workshop (thanks to winter weather!). It was a joy to connect with passionate educators — even from afar — all focused on teaching personal finance early. https://www.owningthedash.com

🚀 New for 2026: Exciting Resources Coming Soon!
We're working behind the scenes on even more tools for classrooms and families:
🎴 A lesson plan for the upcoming Spending Shuffle card game — perfect for classrooms, after-school programs, and family game nights.
🎥 Video tutorials showing multiple games that can be played with the same deck — designed to be fun, flexible, and educator-friendly.
📚 Want OTD in Your Classroom?
Whether you're a teacher, parent, or school leader, we’d love to support your students with engaging, age-appropriate financial literacy resources.

Together, we’re raising a generation of money-smart kids — one story at a time.
Thank you for being part of the journey.
